The Back Room

leave a comment »

ENGLISH: Just got back from an extremely important rally in DC, but more about that tomorrow. Instead I give you: The Back Room (102 Norfolk St), a Lower East Side-bar that flirts with the prohibition era speakeasies, when alcohol was served in secret member’s clubs. Down the stairs, follow the lanterns and in through the unmarked door you go. Well inside you’re greeted by the decadent glamour of the 1920′s: drinks served in teacups, textured wallpapers and a vip-room behind a hidden door, masked as a bookcase. Extremely charming, if it wasn’t for a certain tourist feeling, but definitely worth a visit. I went there with Linda for after work  yesterday, it was a good pep-night.
