Shop Of The Week: Project No.8

leave a comment »

Herrbutiken – Project No.8b – hittar du ett par kvarter norrut (38 Orchard Street).

ENGLISH: On a short street, among stores selling cheap stuff made in China, you find the wonderful Project No.8 (138 Division Street, it’s the ladies’ store). Ever since they opened in 2006 the founders motto has been to sell “what they like” – which in this case means great clothes, accessories or other things from the likes of Maison Martin Margiela, Bless, Siki Im and Swedish Hope. The men’s store – Project No.8b –is located just a couple of blocks north (38 Orchard Street). You can also find them – Project No.8a – at Ace hotel (29th Street and Broadway) and right now (Wednesdays–Sundays) in a small, small popup-space in Tribeca (186 Duane St). Keep your eyes open for sales, I found my amazing wool trench from Fabrics Interseason there this summer, a real bargain.
