INSIDEOUT NYC

Katarina Matsson gets to the core of the Big Apple

It’s Snowing, New York

with 2 comments

ENGLISH: Big snowflakes dancing through the air, reflected in a skyscraper before they slowly find peace on the roof of a yellow cab. Winter in New York – so beautiful, so romantic, so just like a movie. NOT. When the snow meats the ground it turns into a brown-gray slush, as unpleasant as on a Stockholm sidewalk. New Yorkers stress pass you with their eyes to the ground, their hoods halfway down their faces. No eyes lock, and it suddenly gets very clear where the reserved Swedish mentality stems from. And just think about how sad I was to miss the big snowstorm at Christmas, ha!
